Arsenal fans: Would you trade a PL title for the CL crown?
November 1st, 2009Author: Malaysian GoonerLiverpool’s loss to Fulham yesterday made me think about a few things. Liverpool’s 5th loss of the season before even November means that they will have to pull a rabbit of of a hat to win the league this season.
But this post is not to discuss if Liverpool are capable of winning the league. While most of us Gooners aren’t too worried about our 5 season barren run, how many of us would trade away the chance to win the league for another 20 years in order to win the Champions League for the first time?
This is not a bash at Liverpool, I just wanted to know which is the priority. I for one would take the Premiership over the Champions League even this season but I know some Gooners long being the best in Europe and probably the world.

I’ve been going over the Arsenal since 1965,And have seen them win everything(except the ‘Big one’)I cant die happy,until i see them win the European cup! So CL over the PL any day(Get the gold star on the shirt as well)
1 CL win & no Prem for 20 years!!
Too big a price to pay. Sooner win the league. CL, like the World Cup, because of seeding favours a set number of teams. Should be like the FA Cup, get the qualifiers & just draw out the teams. So what if 1 year all english teams are in the same group or Real, Barca, Juve & Man U are drawn together. As it is you can virtually call the groups before the draw & I’ve made money every year betting on the knock-out draw.
Substance v style.
The PL is substance but Arsenal need more style.
Wenger has brought playing style to the club but we
need to win the CL to rank alongside the other great
European clubs.
Gunners play entertaining football. That is what matters

Ok,bring CL home,finish top 3 in league. Rinse repeat,and i’d die a happy man
